How to entertain a toddler for 12 hours on a rainy day

Although we mostly had beautiful weather in Santa Barbara, there were a few days of rain. This posed a big problem for Colin (and consequently, for me), since we were more or less trapped inside our rental apartment with few toys and no car and, of course, no TV. We don't normally let Colin watch TV at home, but jeez, if you have 12 hours of a rainy day to fill, it sure would be nice!

Instead, mama had to use her wits, and about $5 worth of craft supplies she cleverly thought to pick up at the grocery store the day before. (Hooray for crafts!). So without further ado, here's how we filled our day...

9:00 a.m. Colouring

9:30 a.m. Painting

10:00 a.m. Enough with the painting already!

10:30 a.m. "Sculpting"

Mama probably had more fun at this than Colin did. Check out my Barbapapas. Don't know what Barbapapas are? Check out this.

11:00 a.m. Go to the toy store ... I mean, bookstore. Oh, who am I kidding? It's not Colin's favourite place just for the books.

4:00 p.m. Send the kid outside, no matter what the weather's like.

5:00 p.m. Daddy's turn. He's such a good daddy.

6:00 p.m. Bath time is not just for cleaning. Tonight, it's a lesson in volume.

8:00 p.m. What to do with the excess energy of an almost-two year old.

9:00 p.m. Give up and watch a dang movie already!

You have more patience than me.
Daddys turn would have lasted a lot longer and the movie would have been on by lunchtime! lol.
Merry Christmas. x.
