In the build-up to Colin's first ever Easter-egg hunt over the weekend, I thought it a good idea to have a few "trial runs" hunting eggs at home first. You know, so he could learn how to pick up the eggs one-by-one and put them in his basket before he had to face the stiff competition of the actual "hunt." Turns out, this was exactly the wrong approach. By the time the big event rolled around, Colin had so mastered egg-hunting that it no longer held any appeal for him. Instead, he thought egg chucking was much more fun. Fortunately, they were plastic eggs.
