Yesterday's post about our Christmas in Arkansas put me in mind of the last time I saw my parents--when they visited Edmonton in August. It was a whirlwind week, and I never quite managed to put up photos of their trip. It was was a great trip. They got to escape the hottest summer on Arkansas record, and we got some much needed help around the house. (I know, I know, I'm bad. When my parents come to visit we do things like install new light fixtures and undertake major yard work. But where would I be without them?)
We also did a few fun things, like visit the natural history museum, ride the old-timey trolley, and visit Fort Edmonton historic park. And fun was had by all--at least I think so. They are, at least, coming back next year.

Your not alone to get your parents to help out with jobs when they visit. My mum once had to fit a laminate floor and bring her chainsaw with her to chop down a couple of trees for me.
She still visits so I'm obviously not working her hard enough! Lol!
Chainsaw, really?! I love it!
